It looks as if the issue of Podge and Rodge and their moral influence...or lack thereof...seems set to run and and run...oh if only Archbishop Brady had stayed silent....but no that would be too much like common sense....
Well, he should learn that by opening one's episcopal mouth in relation to such issues only draws the matter out and onwards but seeing as he is the RC primate, such lessons do not seem to be learned easily.....
The honourable Anglican Bishop of Cork, Paul Coulton, got in on this by not being so pinted but being pointed enough in a recent sermon he gave in St Fin Barre's Cathedral at Christmas time when he said.....'our society is searching for a new spiritual equilibrium which will not be assisted...by a naive demonisation of popular culture...or by the equally naive call to retreat religiosity of a bygone era.'
Ah sure it takes an outsider with their feet...and crosier...firmly on the ground to see the light of day on something so mundane!!!
Round 1 to the Anglicans!!!
