United Kingdom issues three stamps on the Pope and Cardinal Newman

It's been 28 years since the last visit of a pope to the United Kingdom.

Benedict's trip has generated much excitement in the British Isles, so much so that the Postal Service of the Isle of Man has issued three stamps to commemorate the Pope's visit to the UK.

The image is a photograph of Pope Benedict XVI during a general audience in June 2009.

The two stamps in honor of Cardinal Newman feature two portraits of the future blessed.

The stamps are likely to be a collector's item for a historic occasion.
