More than 100 members of a Catholic Church on Chicago's South Side marched in front of the home of Cardinal Francis George, less than a day after the cardinal suspended their pastor -- a nationally known activist.

The rally followed George's letter informing Pfleger he was being suspended because of statements Pfleger has made regarding his unwillingness to accept a transfer from St. Sabina Church, which he's led for more than 30 years. George says he suspended Pfleger because the priest told the media he'd leave the Catholic Church rather than accept a transfer.
George also suspended Pfleger in 2008 for disparaging comments Pfleger made about then-Sen. Hillary Clinton.
