DALLAS (AP) - Newly designated Dallas Roman Catholic Bishop Kevin Farrell introduced himself to his new flock today. The 59-year-old Irish-born prelate told reporters he knows so little about Dallas that he wouldn't be able to find his way back to the airport.
But he says of leading the one million-worshipper Dallas diocese, "At this particular moment, this is my dream job."

The bilingual Farrell will head a diocese that's about half Hispanic.
He succeeds Bishop Charles Grahmann, who headed the diocese for 17 years marked by major membership growth and scandal over sex abuse.
Farrell comes to Dallas from the Washington archdiocese, where he had served as an auxiliary bishop for five years.
His duties there involved administering its sexual abuse policy for members of the clergy, employees and adult volunteers.
He has met with 84 people who have alleged incidents of abuse.
His installation as Bishop is marked for May 1st and expect an Irish representation!!
